Opticare of Utah, Inc. in Liquidation

Opticare of Utah, Inc. was placed into Liquidation under the Utah Insurer Receivership Act by the issuance of a Liquidation Order. The Utah Insurance Commissioner has been named the Liquidator of Opticare Under the Order.

This is a challenging time and we look to you to help make this transition as smooth as possible consistent with the interests of the insureds, claimant, creditors, and the public generally.

BROKERS, please take notice of the letter dated 12/18/2024 below, highlighting the duties triggered by: Utah Code 31A27a-407, the liquidator requires all agents to provide notice of the Liquidation Order to each policyholder that holds an open or active policy issued through the agent to any persons named in the policy.
